installed and ran the windows to go creator, it extracted the wim, reformatted the external partition, started creating the win to go by installing the following folders (PerfLogs and Program Files), and then an error window pops up saying "setup failed"
how to i get it to work to completion?

This product got the job done when many of the free or pay programs could not help me. I had a drive with a SMART error due to a bad sector. I did a checkdisk with fix on it before starting. The other programs could not do a partition copy or disk copy with out stopping for an error. I ran your product, it did the partition copy with no issues; so I thought, what the heck, and copied the whole drive over to a new disk. It worked like a charm and my Mom's computer booted right up the first time after installing the cloned drive! You saved us! Thank you so much, Brianna
I have two suggestions for Aomei Backupper:
1.) Under "Task Properties" > "Backup Scheme" it is possible to "Enable Disk Space Management" in a way, that "The previous X versions of obsolete backuo image file will be automatically deleted only after next backup finishes". This doesn't make much sense. It would be much better, if the user could configure, how many Backups the program will KEEP ("keep the X previous backup file versions").
2.) Under "Task Properties" > "Versions" you can see the available Backup Versions, and if they are Full od differential of inkremental Versions, and the path to the image file. It would be good if there were a possibility to delete obsolete Versions (image files) in this window manually. Now you have to open windows explorer, search the file you want to delete, make shure that it really is the correct file, and then delete it. This is too complicated.

I have a Backup Image (Made by Aomei Pro) of HP Board with Seagate Hard Disk.I want to restore it on "Partion C" of Samsung Hardisk which is in Dell Laptop.
Can i restore that image in Dell Laptop.
While in Aomei Backupper 1.6, you said, you will add "Restore to Dis-Similar Hardware" function in Future Version.
Is this funtion "Restore to Dis-Similar Hardware" available in Aomei Backupper 2.02 ?

Hello together,
yesterday I performed a recovery of a Windows 2008R2 test system (~400GB) from a NAS and it took hours (>6h) to finish the recovery. Both, the server and the NAS are normally capable to saturate the GbE link. So I started a second test and recovered my Desktop System (SSD and Backup an a SATA attached HDD) an the result was equally. It took over a hour to recover a system with ~70GB of data.
Both backups were differential backups with normal compression. While the backup speed is really impressive the recovery time is absolutley inacceptable - especally when you have to revocer a server system.
Whats the reason for this poor recovery performance?

After hours searching and using various programs including Minitool Partition Wizard, Acronis Disk Director and Windows Disk Manager, these programs did not allow me to convert the disk from MBR to GBT and partition the full 3TB in 1 partition.
I found you program after visiting http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725671.aspx and reading saryli's comment to download Partition Assistant.
I am now a user of this program and no longer use the above mentioned anymore

But please, please correct this one big bug in Backuper! (This selected destination partition istoo small. Required the at least: xxx.xxGB)
Many User are having problems with this bug.

During 'Checking' phases of a Backup using Backupper, does Choosing Cancel to abort checking cause Aoemi
also to throw away the Backup Image being checked?
I would very welcome to have the AOMEI Backupper to report the free space of the target storage in the mail report.
I would welcome the ability to modify the notification mail subject.
One has to go to the mail content to see what computer the report came from.
It would be also nice to have the computer name in the report itself.
As the file backup is not allways a preferred method of backup, I woul very welcome the ability to exclude certain folders from a Disk/Partition backup. Like D:\TEMP in my case, where I have a lot of temporary images/files I dont need to backup.
I like the application
are there any plans to add a notifications feature? So that when a backup is completed then an email is sent to notify the user that the backup was successful or if it had failed.
I wouldn't mind if this was only available on the paide versions

I had to convert a 2.2 TB server drive that was almost
full of data from MBR to GPT. The drive is part of a SANS disk array and is
connected to the server via i-SCSI. Without this product I would have had to
backup all the data, format the drive for GPT then restore all 2.2TB of data.
This would have taken hours to do. Aomei Partition Assistant performed the
drive conversion in less than 5 minutes, all I had to do was change the
drive letter back to what is was before. Most of the other smaller drive
conversions I've done take about 30 seconds.

I have tested your product quite a bit, and it's becoming a good piece of software, it might become the next generation backuping programs and take the place of ghost and true image which are the most famous leader to me.
I am an IT Technician, and I redo tons of computer a day, so I know what common people wish for their home software and what IT Technician wish to.
First, let me tell you some things should be improve if you can:
- Easyness of interface....THINK!! also, try to make see the interface to a noob, he must figure out easily how to deal with your program...... for example: dont create a folder in which the image is....ask for the name of the file after i have selected where to put the image (like in other tool), create the image directly where in the drive i pointed to....seems much more logical and what if I want the file Strictly on the root??
- Loading time of the program on usb key, if possible....consider to do a "light" version of AOMEI Backupper to load with the strict necessary!!
- better compression rate of the image to keep space and harddisk
- On the winpe with your programs put a few often needed tools to please IT technicians:
A43 file management utility, Checkdisk command, SFC Command, tools to recovers, we sometime don't want to have to reimage,and we are please if on the same cd or usbthumbdrive! see SPOTMAU CD RECOVERY for basic useful utility, seems easy to do the same and have something that saves the day ^^
- Making a downloable ISO from your site to burn on disk would be sooooooo less painful, because i couldn't manage to create one with your winpe builder (seems buggy on windows 8.1...???)
Your true competitor is true image 2014, so the goal is to be Better than THEM.
When I try to explore my image, I get a message from Backupper that says "The partition and disk image files saved on a network cannot be explored, please copy them to a local disk, and then explore". Copy them to a local disk??? If I had a local disk big enough to hold a backup, I would be backing up to it. This is new in 2.0... 1.x all allowed images to be explored over a network. Why was this capability removed? This was a huge step backwards... :(
