When I am doing a large backup, it can run couple of hours - I might want to stop disk activity for some time, for example when I have/want other app access the drive etc.
It feels like a no-brainer, or am I wrong?
I doesn't need to be too obvious, can be "hidden" from a general user. But would be handy for me..

I used the Windows to Go Creator Wizard to create a bootable Windows 8.1 USB hard drive. After setting the boot sequence so that the USB hard drive is first the computer did indeed boot to the USB hard drive and Windows 8.1 started, configured my devices and restarted. Upon this restart though, the USB drive was bypassed totally and the computer booted to my "C:\" drive. The USB drive is recognized by my computer and shows that 6.42GB was installed on it. How come this happened?

I have Acronis DD12, but i have only Crash on scroll and other troubles. Reboot need on Primary Partition on a inserted USB Stick... all this is total ugly.
I found this very good program from AOMEI and this works good.
I will use this in the future.

Although there's no competition for Backupper, it's top notch and leaves others by a huge margin, AOMEI Partition Manager is lagging behind EaseUS, in terms of features in the free version.
EaseUS let's you convert primary partition to logical, dynamic disks to basic, MBR to GPT and the like. Hopefully the developers will think about this, to make AOMEI the best free partition manager..Atleast the first feature...

Although the best part about AOMEI is that it doesn't contain adware unlike EaseUS, so good work with that.
1st at all: It's really a gret product ... easy to use, fast in execution.
But some features are missing nearly all other products have (f.e. EaseUS, Acronis).
1. an option to enter credentials for the scheduled tasks
2. an option like "task before backup" and "task after backup" (f.e. to call a batch file to stop an SQL-Server and move old backups to a specified folder)
3. newly created tasks cannot be edited if they're not started once ... strange ...
4. name of the task and name of backup file are equal ... that's ok, but then we need an option to change the name of the destination folder. Currently it's needed to delete the task and re-create it
5. would be nice to open a backup by double-clicking it in explorer. Would be easier to restore a single file from a backup without the need of doing it via the software. f.e. EaseUS got this feature since 5.8 ...
think, that are all my wishes for now ;)

When you try to restore the system drive C: after it was formatted by the user or a virus, AOMEI OneKey Recovery falls with an error that the file is missing okldr.mbr.
I copied the file (okldr.mbr) to the formatted C: drive and AOMEI OneKey Recovery is up and restore the disk C :
Windows 7 work.
Interested in the opinion of developers to automate pass this problem.
Many people likely want to do what I want to do. I want to do a full backup weekly, and on the other days do incrementals. Assume I want to do the full on Sunday. That means incrementals Monday through Saturday. Next Sunday I do another full and the following incrementals are built with that base. The third Sunday, I would like to do a full, and after successful completion, delete the entire first set - the first full and the six incrementals. This keeps a rolling one-two weeks of backups.
What is the configuration that will accomplish this? Or do I have to manually program it in a shell script and use the command line version of Backupper?

But please, please correct this one big bug in Backuper! (This selected destination partition istoo small. Required the at least: xxx.xxGB)

This feature isn't available in the free version of AOMEI but is present in EaseUS.
This is a serious limitation, and tha'ts why I've to continue to use EaseUS as primary.
I want this feature to be available in the free version.
I am very fond of Partition Assistant Pro v5.x, except for one very annoying
feature: When you copy/clone a partition, the volume/partition label is
NOT copied along with it! Instead, it just says a generic "Copy" with
the drive letter.
I strongly dislike this, since after
the partition copy I don't always remember what the original volume
label is! Even when I do, I am forced to go and change the volume label
from a useless "Copy of x" to the correct volume label.
All the other partition copy tools copy the volume label as well. Please change Partition Assistant Pro to do the same.

Regarding the context menu "Advanced -> Change Partition Type ID", this option is almost always grayed out, making it unavailable and thus totally useless to me!
I very much need to be able to change ANY partition's type ID code under ANY circumstances, not just when Partition Assistant Pro thinks I should be able to.
This is very important to me. Can this be changed, please?

I'm attempting to do a system backup using Backupper Standard 2.1.0 and it fails almost immediately. (This is on a first-time backup).

System specs:
Win 7 Enterprise x64
i7, 16GB RAM
Steps tried so far:
Clean boot
Reinstalled AOMEI Backupper
Ran CHKDSK on both C and G
Defragmented both C and G
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Since this is a relative new forum, I am curious to how many different cultures use this software.
I am currently in the Bay Area, California and enjoy using both PA and Backupper.
That's strange ...
I've downloaded the new Version 2.1.0 to update my currently installed version 2.0.3
Installer forced a De-Install of the installed version and then installed the new version.
Ok ... some other tools do it the same way ...
But why I need to enter my serial again ?!
Is it lost during the Re-Install !?
Not usable ...
Please keep the registration information during an update-process.
Or add an option to ask during the de-install to keep or delete it.
Also it would be more usable to remove the "Version-Number" (e.g. 2.1.0) from the prefered install-path.
If scripts are used to start the backupper via command-line it would be helpful to find the stuff in the same folder!
This should prevent script-errors caused by missing files due to a new path.
f.e.: Installed 2.0.3 -> making the script -> updated to 2.1.0 -> script stopped working by using the default path settings during setup!
I looked but didnt see a way to do a full or system backup and at the same time exclude certain directories or folders. A lot of very big single drive systems have a lot of convienient yet not required data. Say a bunch of .iso files, movies or mp3 collection. They are backed up elsewhere or only there for convinience. It would be nice to get a nice tight system backup without the optional data. I find the feature very nice. If it already has the feature could you point it out. I searced the docs and didnt find it.
In our root-server-environment we've got a "FTP-Backup-Space".
Would be nice if backupper can handle backup/restore to/from FTP too. Would also e nice to have this feature in the PE-Environment.

After Installation of Backupper 2.1.0 on my PC I noticed a considerably longer delay after Booting Windows (Version 7 SP1) until Internet network can be accessed. ( about 20 seconds vs 3 seconds) indicated also on the Taskbar . After deeinstalling Backupper connection is fast again. This is disturbs me and I stay with PE Builder on USB stick, where Backupper is integrated and works perfectly independently of running Windows. Any Idea what is delaying blocking connection. ? (Lan cable connection directly to DSL router).
